:: TOP 10 SMALL BUSINESSES IN WICHITA::

Well, it's an honor just to be nominated..... but Intake made it to the Wichita Metro Chamber of Commerce's Top 10 Small Business for 2008. Intake Studio, along with nine other small businesses, is being recognized for achievements and contributions to our community. We'd like to say a big 'thanks' to the Chamber for letting us be a part of this year's program.

:: MOTION GRAPHIC ARTIST, RYAN GALLET, IS LATEST ADDITION ::

We grabbed Ryan out of Kansas City, where he was a recent graduate of the K.C. Art Institute. He received his Bachelors of Fine Art in Animation and has experience in hand-drawn illustration, motion graphics and animation. One look at Ryan's impressive portfolio and we knew that he'd be a perfect fit for Intake. Now, on the count of three let's say it all together..... There's no place like Wichita.

:: INTAKE TAKES SIX GOLDS::

At the 2008 American Advertising Federation of Wichita ADDY Awards show, Intake Studio took home a total of thirteen awards. We received six Gold Addy's, four Silver Addy's, and three Bronze Addy's. And now, this is where we simply say...... thanks!

:: DP TO P2 HD ::

Just in case you need a translation from the headline; When Intake made the move to High Definition (HD) acquisition, Director of Photography (DP) Todd Schwartz decided to go with the Panasonic HVX200 HD camera. The 200 is an all digital format that uses solid-state file based recording (P2) instead of tape. We then use the Zacuto lens adapter to help us capture incredible HD imagery. In the end, our DP thinks the P2 HD cam is OK!

:: INTAKE HIRES PRODUCER/PROJECT MANAGER ::

Without a captain to steer the ship, you're lost. And steering is exactly what our newest hire, Susan Skinner, does for Intake. Susan comes to us from Los Angeles and has "done the LA thing". Now, as producer/project manager, she's helping us navigate projects in and out of Intake.

:: INTAKE MOVES TO NEW LARGER SPACE ::

When we ran out of room for the atari, it became obvious that we needed a bigger space. So we packed up our gear and moved next door. It's about twice the size of our old space and gives us a little extra room to stretch out and play.
